The Paul Tsongas Scholarship is a merit-based program that rewards Massachusetts students with a grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.75 and highly competitive Scholastic Aptitude Test (S.A.T.) scores of at least 1200 (or the American College Testing [A.C.T.] equivalent). Eligible students receive a waiver of tuition and mandatory fees at a Massachusetts state university. Each of the nine (9) Massachusetts state universities may provide five new Paul Tsongas Scholarship Program Tuition Waivers per academic year.

The Charles W. Riley Firefighter and Ambulance and Rescue Squad Member Scholarship Program encourages members of the fire-fighting, ambulance, and rescue organizations serving Maryland communities to pursue credited courses that lead to a degree in fire service technology, emergency medical technology, fire service management, or public safety administration with a minor or concentration in fire service technology or fire service management.

​The Educational Assistance (EA) Grant is a part of the Delegate Howard P. Rawlings Educational Excellence Awards and is a need-based grant that provides financial assistance to eligible applicants enrolled at postsecondary institutions for educational expenses. A student may receive an award of up to $3,000 for up to​ four years.

​​The Workforce Shortage Student Assistance Grant (WSSAG) Program is for students who plan on working in specific career/occupational programs upon graduation. Eligible fields include child care, human services, teaching, nursing, physical and occupational therapy, social work, and public service.

The Maryland Tuition Waiver for Foster Care Recipients provides financial assistance to eligible foster care youth pursuing higher education. This waiver is available to individuals who have been in foster care and are enrolled in an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or vocational certificate program at a Maryland public institution of higher education.

The 2+2 Transfer Scholarship is designed to assist and encourage transfer students from Maryland community colleges to attend a 4-year institution within the state and complete their bachelor's degrees in a timely manner. Students must be enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution.

This scholarship provides students who are receiving SSI or SSDI that pursuing a postsecondary degree or certificate with financial assistance.

​​​​The Maryland Delegate Scholarship is offered ​to Maryland residents who plan to pursue a postsecondary credential full-time (12+ credits undergraduate or 9+ credits graduate per semester) or part-time (6-11 credits ​undergraduate or 6-8 credits graduate per semester) at a two-year or four-year Maryland college, university or private career school.​

The Jack F. Tolbert Memorial Student Grant Program (Tolbert Grant Program) is to provide financial assistance to full-time students attending approved private career schools in Maryland.

The Part-Time Grant Program provides funds to Maryland public and independent colleges and universities based on the number of undergraduate part-time students with demonstrated financial need, who are enrolled in degree-granting programs at specific institutions. Recipients are selected and awarded by the institution.
