You will be taught distance sampling and how the distance sampling formula is derived. You will also be shown the analysis of radio-telemetry.

Monitoring and Managing Habitats

In this module, you will be introduced to habitats and the three modes of dispersal. You will learn about habitat degradation, loss, fragmentation and displacement. You will be taught the creation of reserve, hotspots and gap analysis. You will be shown the principles of reserve design, habitat management and improvement.

Management of Wildlife Diseases

In this module, you will be introduced to the management of wildlife diseases. You will be taught the horizontal and vertical transmission of diseases and what a host is. You will also learn about some common wildlife diseases, the principles of disease management, the epidemiology triangle and the maintenance strategies of infectious agents.
