Adam Cornett, US Tango Champion, is offering an Advanced Argentine Tango course. In this course, participants will learn Back Sacadas, Ganchos, Enrosques, Colgadas, and Volcadas. These moves are complex and require practice. Back Sacadas are a replacement step, but this time the step is backward instead of forward. Ganchos, or hooks, is a movement where the legs are wrapped around each other. Enrosques, or screws, is a move from Mingo's 8 Count Turn. It is recommended that participants have knowledge of this turn, which can be learned in the Intermediate+ course. Colgadas and Volcadas are also taught in this course. These moves involve off-axis movements and require trust between partners. To prepare for these difficult figures, a dance trust exercise will be conducted.
