This course, Sign Language Science: Factors Contributing to Natural Learning, will explore the various factors that contribute to language-learning patterns. Students will gain an understanding of how age is a key factor in predicting fluency, as well as how signed languages primarily activate the left hemisphere of the brain. Through this course, students will gain a better understanding of the science behind sign language and how it contributes to natural learning.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the factors that contribute to natural learning of sign language. After completing this course, students should be able to identify the various factors that contribute to natural learning of sign language, such as age, environment, and the mind. They should also be able to apply this knowledge to their own learning of sign language, as well as to the teaching of sign language to others. Additionally, students should be able to recognize the importance of the left hemisphere in the learning of sign language.
