Discover how to use OKRs to increase your impact and build a strategic plan. Google popularized OKRs, but their approach requires resources and infrastructure most organizations don’t have. OnStrategyHQ has developed a far less resource-intensive approach, focused on making sure that your OKRs are aligned to your long-term direction. the approach includes creating annual companywide objectives, supported by shared department objectives and individual key results. We recommend using a consistent review process for collaboration and accountability, instead of scoring. Visit the website to learn more and download the guide to get started.

Google has popularized the use of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) as a top-of-mind tool for organizations during the strategic planning process. While OKRs are an amazing tool, the way Google uses them requires resources and infrastructure that many organizations do not have available. OnStrategyHQ has developed a more resource-intensive approach that focuses on aligning OKRs to an organization's long-term direction.

OnStrategyHQ believes that organizations should create "shared" team/department objectives, with individuals creating key results aligned to these objectives. Additionally, they recommend finding an OKR software solution to automate reporting and progress check-ins, as well as using their mobile app to streamline the process.

Rather than scoring OKRs for accountability, OnStrategyHQ suggests using a consistent review process for collaboration and accountability. This process is designed to help organizations focus on the strategic performance of the team and organization, rather than the score.
