This ten-week online course, Applied Business Negotiations, provides learners with the opportunity to work collaboratively in small teams to work through obstacles and challenges and hammer out a deal that benefits both sides of a negotiation. Learners will meet with peers from around the world each week in a live, interactive negotiating session followed by written communications based on each session.

Throughout the course, learners will explore the legal, business, social, ethical, and political issues that can arise during a complex transaction. Learners will become more effective negotiators with a better understanding of how to achieve mutually beneficial results for both sides. Immediate instructor feedback will be provided after each negotiation session.

Verified learners will also have the opportunity to participate in live working sessions with the instructor and other potential guest speakers and professionals who have mastered the art and science of effective negotiations. By the end of the course, learners will have a better understanding of the complexities of business negotiations and the skills to become successful negotiators.

Upon completion of this course, learners will have a better understanding of the complexities of business negotiations and the ability to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. Learners will be able to identify and analyze the legal, business, social, ethical, and political issues that can arise during a negotiation, and develop strategies to effectively manage them. They will also be able to develop and implement effective negotiation strategies to achieve mutually beneficial results for both sides. Additionally, learners will be able to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios and gain the confidence to negotiate effectively.

[Career Paths]
1. Business Negotiator: Business Negotiators are responsible for negotiating deals between two or more parties. They must be able to identify the needs of each party, develop strategies to reach a mutually beneficial agreement, and ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome. Business Negotiators must also be able to handle difficult conversations and remain calm under pressure. This role is becoming increasingly important as businesses become more global and complex, and the need for effective negotiations is growing.

2. Contract Manager: Contract Managers are responsible for managing contracts between two or more parties. They must be able to review and interpret contracts, identify potential risks, and ensure that all parties are in compliance with the terms of the agreement. Contract Managers must also be able to negotiate changes to contracts when necessary. This role is becoming increasingly important as businesses become more global and complex, and the need for effective contract management is growing.

3. Dispute Resolution Specialist: Dispute Resolution Specialists are responsible for resolving disputes between two or more parties. They must be able to identify the needs of each party, develop strategies to reach a mutually beneficial agreement, and ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome. Dispute Resolution Specialists must also be able to handle difficult conversations and remain calm under pressure. This role is becoming increasingly important as businesses become more global and complex, and the need for effective dispute resolution is growing.

4. Mediator: Mediators are responsible for facilitating negotiations between two or more parties. They must be able to identify the needs of each party, develop strategies to reach a mutually beneficial agreement, and ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
