This free online course provides an introduction to Wing Chun (or Ving Tsun) Baat Jaam Do (butterfly knife) skills for beginners. It takes learners through the basic steps necessary to start learning this martial arts move. Learners will learn the forms of Baat Jaam Do, as well as the other activities they need to practice before starting. Baat Jaam can be regarded as a self-defence activity and it is called Baat Jaam Do because of some of its specific attributes. The course demonstrates the vital parts of the body that are crucial for effective practice. It also covers the steps necessary to learn the Wing Chun Baat Jaam Do move, the hands positions that are important for mastering Wing Chun, and the professional Chung Jam skills. Learners will also learn about the positions of the upper and lower body while successfully making the move, the roles of the left hand in Baat Jaam Do, the right hand positions, the minimum time the Chung should be demonstrated, how to Chan Do, and the Jaam techniques that can be achieved. Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to demonstrate the position of the body when carrying out the Chung Do movement, and the simultaneous position of both hands during section three of Baat Jaam Do.

This module teaches you how Wing Chun Baat Jaam Do (butterfly) can be achieved by beginners and the different types. You will also learn about the required steps that should be carried out before completing Baat Chun Jaam Do.

Baat Jaam Do Sections

This module demonstrates the role of the left hand in baat jaam do and how the right hand should be positioned. You will also learn how the butterfly knife should be held. Study the minimum time the Chung should be demonstrated.
