This course, MPLS Fundamentals: Cisco CCNP & Real World, provides a comprehensive guide to the MPLS protocol and its applications. Students will gain an understanding of the importance of MPLS and its applications, as well as the concepts needed for CCNP and CCIE certifications. The course covers the fundamentals of MPLS, including why it was implemented, terminology used in an MPLS environment, and configurations used in MPLS, with a focus on using Layer 3 VPNs. Additionally, students will learn about the LDP protocol, labels, and how they are forwarded to other LDR Routers. Through hands-on labs, students will gain an understanding of how labels are forwarded and how to configure multiple IGP routing protocols and BGP to get information across a network. Students will also learn how to create multiple types of VPNs, Route Targets, and Route Reflectors, as well as how to create VRFs and understand CEF, LFIB, LRIB, and other tables for troubleshooting MPLS. Please note that the simulators/emulators used in this course are not part of the course and must be obtained separately.

[Applications]
Upon completion of this course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the MPLS protocol and its applications. They will be able to apply their knowledge to configure Layer 3 VPNs, create Provider Edge routers, Customer Edge Routers, and VRFs. Additionally, they will be able to troubleshoot MPLS using CEF, LFIB, LRIB, and other tables. Students will also be prepared for their CCNP and CCIE certifications.
