This course, How to Code: Complex Data, is part of the Software Development MicroMasters program. It is designed to help learners quickly expand their programming skills to cover more complex programs on more complex data. Learners will learn how to capture common data and control structures using abstraction, and how to design search programs. They will also design a program to solve Sudoku puzzles, and will be able to design many other puzzle solvers as well. Learners who enroll in the Verified track will receive staff grading for the course project and increased interaction with the instructor and staff. Previous students have found the course to be a great way to master one of the most important topics for any level of programmer, and to learn how to design better, cleaner and faster programs.

[Applications]
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to apply the concepts learned to design complex data structures and algorithms, create search programs, and design puzzle solvers. They will also be able to write well-structured and well-tested code that is easy to maintain. Additionally, learners who enroll in the Verified track will receive staff grading for the course project and increased interaction with the instructor and staff.

[Career Paths]
One job position path recommended to learners of this course is a Software Developer. Software Developers are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. They use programming languages and development tools to create software applications that meet customer requirements. They also work with other software professionals to ensure that the software meets the customer's needs.

The development trend for Software Developers is to become more specialized in a particular programming language or development tool. As technology advances, software developers must stay up to date with the latest tools and techniques to remain competitive. Additionally, software developers must be able to work with other software professionals to ensure that the software meets the customer's needs. As software applications become more complex, software developers must be able to design and develop software applications that are efficient and reliable.

[Education Paths]
The recommended educational path for learners who want to learn how to code complex data is to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. This degree will provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of computer science fundamentals, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering. Additionally, learners will gain an understanding of the principles of computer architecture, computer networks, and computer graphics.

The development trend for this degree is to focus on the application of computer science principles to solve real-world problems. This includes the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Additionally, the degree will focus on the development of mobile and web applications, as well as the development of cloud computing and distributed systems. Finally, the degree will focus on the development of secure systems and the development of software engineering best practices.
