This scholarship Fund was established in memory of Ralph and Ruth Frank Gross to honor their belief in the importance of a good education. This scholarship Fund is intended to encourage people to improve themselves as well as to provide for the betterment of their children. It seeks to help often unheralded government employees and their families to improve their lives through education.

The Minority Teacher Education Scholarship (MTES) program is a collaborative performance-based scholarship program for African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, and Native American students administered by the Florida Fund for Minority Teachers, Inc. (FFMT). Upon graduation, a recipient is required to teach one year in a Florida public school for each year the scholarship ($4,000) was received.

The Florida Department of Education offers various state-funded scholarships and grants, including the popular merit-based Bright Futures Scholarships (Academic, Medallion, Gold Seal), need-based grants like FSAG, and specific programs for minorities, veterans' families, and career education, all accessible via the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA). Arts for Life! annually awards $2,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or visual art.
